Today I attended a “Sit-In Against Gender-Based Violence” organised by the Groningen Feminist Network, International Socialists and Women’s March Groningen. The event took place at the Grote Markt, Groningen. I helped out with the sound and made a video and a few photos that I’ll put in this blog.
The event states “We, the Groningen Feminist Network, International Socialists, and Women’s March Groningen are calling on you to take a stand against the violence endured by women, people of colour, disabled people, queer people and people in other maginalised positions. Bring your banners, posters, flags, take your friends and be part of an important movement!”
The speeches and performances were impressive and moving.
